Hi! I’m Colleen (Lentile) Large, otherwise known as The Wild Woman. My pronouns are she/her. I’m 32, a Scorpio and a Virginia native, currently living in New England. I like reading and writing and learning about true crime and cults. I love tattoos and fashion, particularly thrifting. I’ve got a couple of degrees in writing and do that as my day job. I am married to my best friend and I’m momma to two rescue hounds. I care about equity and the environment. I want everyone to feel like the babes that they are.
I read “Wild” by Cheryl Strayed and got a little too hooked on the idea of being a wild woman. But, since we are in the 21st century here, I want everyone, man, woman and non-binary folk alike to be wild with me.
So, what does wild mean? By definition it means “living or growing in the natural environment; not domesticated or cultivated” or “uninhabited, uncultivated, or inhospitable.” Synonyms include fierce, untamed, ferocious and natural.
Let us be wild. Be wild when society tells us how to act, how to talk, how to dress, how to eat, how to travel, how to think and how to be. We must be wild in our decisions and our experiences. We must be wild in the face of adversity and struggle. We must be wild when telling our stories and sharing our love. We must be wild in the pursuit of being exactly who we are and listening to our own voices and our own voices alone. We must be wild so that we can live the good life and fight the good fight.
